Dirtybird has always been synonymous with sweaty bass-lines, off-kilter ideas and bass driven funk. It´s only fitting that a label based on a philosophy of bringing smiles to the dance-floor was created by a party, which this year celebrates 10 years of culinary outdoor antics.

To mark this momentous anniversary the label bastions and DJ frontline will be performing a seven-date tour spanning the birthplace of the Dirtybird empire San Francisco, through to New York, Miami, LA, Paris and London. The London show takes place over the Easter weekend and will be something of a milestone, hosting the biggest Dirtybird line-up ever to be assembled. A completely unique opportunity to have the whole family all in one place, topped off with their signature BBQ.

Label ringleader and creator Claude VonStroke heads up proceedings with Mr Julio Bashmore, who since being discovered by Claude has had a string of stellar EPs on an array of prolific labels, not to mention the genre-defining anthem ‘Battle For Middle You’ from last year. The other captain of the Dirtybird ship Justin Martin will be releasing his debut album "Ghettos and Gardens" in May and will be showcasing all his stellar new cuts. The funk nasty princess J Phlip is joined by Polish duo Catz n Dogz who debuted their amazing "Pets Recordings" imprint last year to great success. Breach, alias of London’s own vocal styler, Ben Westbeech joins the line-up along with Eats Everything who was just named "Best Breakthrough Producer" by DJ mag in the UK as well as doing the Essential mix for BBC Radio 1. Dirtybird HATCHED producers Tom Flynn, French Fries, A1 Bassline, Sacha Robotti and Worthy complete the line-up.

The now legendary Golden Gate BBQ´s in San Francisco, was the brainchild of the 4 original Dirtybird members, Christian Martin, Claude VonStroke, Justin Martin and Worthy. They had a personal mission to change the landscape of San Francisco house music by throwing an epic free party in the park based on their new signature sound. With nothing to lose and everything to gain, they assembled the line-up themselves with Christian purchasing a massive, yet necessary sound system on his credit card. This was the beginning and set the standard for a new era of die-hard dedicated DIY producers, all with new productions based on heavy bass-lines, smiling faces and dance floor delights. Three years on the label was created by Claude VonStroke solidifying the Dirtybird mandate.

Ten years later the original crew remains fully intact and as close knit as ever traversing the globe, releasing records, and throwing the best parties in their wake. The London leg will be a marathon fifteen hours with 11 headline acts. Come welcome in the spring with the Dirtybird HATCHED tour.
