With the three main ladies of house and techno Ellen Allien, Magda and Miss Kittin having already revealed all to A Night With… this summer, on the 15^th October we welcome Ali Tiefschwarz. Ali is one half of the German deep house goliaths that flipped the house sound on its head in the early noughties and took it onto stadium filling proportions whilst still retaining its integrity and indeed its complexity.

In a world of ever changing trends, Tiefschwarz, which translates as deep black, is the most timeless of hues: it has style, depth, intrigue and above all longevity. Hailing from Stuttgart, the two Tiefschwarz brothers and music lovers have become renowned for their signature blend of house, techno and bass-heavy electro-house which has elevated them to a superior status as one of the most innovative production outfits currently on the scene.

Their passion for techno and deep house was largely driven by their experiences in the early 90’s as DJs at the now legendary clubs that Ali ran in their home town, "ON -U" and "Red Dog".  Around 1997, the brothers decided to start producing and embarked on their joint venture as Tiefschwarz, releasing their first single “Music” on Wave Music. Their first album “Ral 9005”followed in … being subsequently licensed to Classic Recordings in London, putting Tiefschwarz on the map in the UK and laying the foundations for international notoriety. In the same year, Classic also released Ali and Basti’s mix album “A Little Help For Your Friends”.  It was with their remix of Spektrum’s  ‘Kinda New’ that they truly cemented their status as internationally recognised producers. Kinda New became a worldwide hit and appeared on untold compilations in the process. Tiefschwarz released their 3^rd album Chocolate this year, their first for five years and self-released on their label Souvenir Music. Chocolate saw them move from electro-fused cuts to the deeper side of things including collaborations with the likes of Seth Troxler and Cassy.

Tiefschwarz continue to play high-profile venues across the globe whilst simultaneously building up an impressive remix repertoire, including reworks for the likes of Masters at Work, Ultra Naté, Freaks, Isolee, The Rapture, Cassius, DJ Hell, Missy Elliot and Kelis. Both Ali and Basti have been household names in the world’s most cutting edge clubs for several years now, with residencies at Robert Johnson in Frankfurt, Fabric, London and Watergate and Weekend in Berlin, as well as regular appearances at world-class clubs like Space and Cocoon Ibiza, Womb in Tokyo and D-Edge in Sao Paolo.

A Night With… welcomes this world class duo in the form of Ali on the 15^th  October. It’ll be an honour and an experience to behold.
