Take Note 2015

As London’s nightlife industry changes rapidly, Take Note aims to bring together every corner of the industry to discuss new trends and solutions for electronic music. Happening in design space, Second Home in East London on Saturday 19th November, Take Note is an event that bridges the experienced with the newfound recruits to the industry, creating a series of talks and artist demonstrations that will leave those in attendance inspired for the future.

Good Times Soundsystem founder and MBE holder, Norman Jay will be in conversation with Resident Advisor in a one on one talk recorded for their Exchange podcast series on the day, alongside other engaging topics including diversity and equality in music, how to manage as a manager, the journey of a release from creation to consumption, projecting your artist profile, signing an act and the concept of harm reduction and safe drug use in music.

In a world first, Sound Services and Funktion-One partner up to deliver AUDIO LAB: Sound Quality², a room specifically designed to encapsulate and showcase optimum sound quality through listening experiences, technical demonstrations and artist master classes. Their aim is to demonstrate the importance of sound quality to the next generation, shaping the future of events in London and the rest of the world. The founder of Funktion-One, Tony Andrews will be discussing audio quality and artists Whyt Noyz, Fabio Florido, Felix Faire and Elias will be illustrating the strengths of equipment such as the E&S Rotary mixer, Formula Sound/Funcktion-1 FF6.2L and PLAYdifferently MODEL 1 mixer (co-designed by Richie Hawtin).

The artist Fabio Florido (M_NUS), both the print and digital editor of Mixmag and Sarah Polonsky (editor of DJ mag USA) will join the likes of artists B Traits and Danny Daze, Fiona Measham (Professor of Criminology at Durham University & founder of The Loop drug testing project) and Andy Blackett (fabric nightclub) to take part in the Take Note event with over thirty others from across the music industry. There will be also two live sets from Felix Faire and Elias that will close out a thoroughly inspiring day.

Join us at the pre event London Stories: From Crackers To Fabric in which Bill Brewster will look at London’s sacred nightlife spaces development over the years.
