Following the successful release of Shock Horror from Indie-pop sensation Shy Luv on Black Butter earlier this year, Amsterdam’s finest duo Detroit Swindle now step up to deliver an electrifying remix and instrumental version.

Shy Luv, the Manchester duo of artists Sam Knowles (aka Karma Kid) and Jake Norman (aka Armeria), kicked off 2017 with new video and single for Shock Horror, featuring acclaimed singer-songwriter Jones. NYLON said of the record “…the electropop hitmakers managed to repackage ’70s beats and vocals into a modern digital musical experience”. For the remix, Detroit Swindle spin their unique touch into the original, holding on to the pop sensibilities, yet transforming it into a disco-fueled, dancefloor bomb.

Detroit Swindle was formed in 2011 by Lars Dales and Maarten Smeets. The duo have released music on renowned labels like Freerange, Future Classics, Dirt Crew, Tsuba, Classic Music Company, their own Heist Recordings and many more. This includes remixes for Hercules and Love Affair, Chet Faker, Seven Davis Jr. and Romanthony’s track Too Long produced by Daft Punk. Enthusiastic record diggers and synth hunters, the talented pair have also been playing live shows right from the get go, and have expanded their setup ever since.
