Cityfox welcomes to the fold prolific producer Inxec and gets set to release his debut on the label ‘Come On!!’ – a certified underground package (including a pumping remix from Dyed Soundorom) that will transport you from deep tech house via funky basslines to wonky techno grooves.
The A side ‘Angel’ is a master class in techy grooves and soaring synthlines. Driven by rolling drumbeats with sensual vocal snippets rippling throughout, the heat continues to rise until the break down of gloriously warped chords, making this a highly addictive opening cut. In the remix Dyed Soundorom delivers a tougher dancefloor weapon with a seriously heavy bassline at its core. Whilst maintaining the rolling rhythms and distorted synths of the original, Dyed’s inflection brings a moodier more visceral vibe to the fore and a sound that is pure peak time for the underground.
‘Come On!!” combines the jacking groove of an old school house record with some quirky swirling synths that give it a more electronic and futuristic quality. Sealing the deal on Inxec’s techno wizardry is closer ‘Nightingale’ - proffering a mad jungle of sounds made up of squelching bass, faltering strings, strange percussion and a vocal with attitude.
Over the past 5 years Nottingham born, Munich based Inxec aka Chris Sylvester has been carving out a reputation as one of the most innovative producers in house and techno. With his tracks getting hammered by the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin, Luciano and many more, its not hard to see why Inxec is in such high demand both in the studio and behind the decks. In the early days he was making prog-edged house for labels such as Renaissance and Distinctive under the guise Sound Alliance. Then the techno bug bit and by 2005 he had honed his production skills to the point of being signed by Jay Haze to his much-lauded label Contexterrior. A string of highly acclaimed EPs followed that brought him huge recognition within the techno scene and led him to being picked up one of the worlds biggest labels, Cocoon. The last 4 years has seen Inxec play at some of the world’s most prestigious clubs and he currently holds a coveted residency at Harry Klein in Munich.
