Icelandic duo, Human Woman is the latest golden addition to the hfn music camp. Their debut single ‘Delusional’ is a fantastic fusion of modern electronic pop featuring sensational remixes from Danish wonder kid Kasper Bjørke, first class DJ and producer Vincenzo and one half of the dream team that makes Wolf+ Lamb, Zev.
Gisli Galdur (aka Galdur) and Jón Atli Helgason (aka Sexy Lazer) are the talented duo that comprise new act, Human Woman. A fine and fitting combination, the two men are of the most respected artists and musicians in Iceland. Galdur, a former member of the prolific Icelandic band Trabant, is also known as a successful composer and a leading DJ of his homeland. Sexy Lazer is also known for his various roles in bands but crosses over as another of Iceland’s prevailing DJs. As a producer he also works on collaborations with Kasper Bjørke – with impressive results! Taking influences right across the board, the duo have cooked up a sensual, catchy indie-dance track that’s pleasingly reminiscent of the 80s, yet carries a great modern sheen thanks to the production skills of Human Woman. Cinematic, feel-good music for travelling, for friends, for living!
Kasper Bjørke is first to get his hands on ‘Delusional‘, introducing a straighter groove which leans more towards the slow-house/disco fraternity in this slow-cooking remix. A teasing, tense Dub version is included as a digital extra, that’s sure to light up the more underground dancefloors!
Berlin‘s Vincenzo then takes it even more cosmic with a bass heavy club mix that maintains the slow tempo yet elevates us to a more hypnotic plain. Clean, pure elements greet us in this luxury remix from the emotive house master.
Zev from Wolf & Lamb closes the package with his ‘Brooklyn Beatdown Mix‘, breaking up the beats and tripping things out with some real old-school New York vibes. His ‘Dreamland Mix’ moves into more pushing house zones, with dramatic washes of colour and dreamy, dramatic synth flourishes.
