Soul Mekanik
Don't

Soul Mekanik continue their assault on the current dance landscape with ‘Don’t’, the double a side release and sampler for their forthcoming 81 Deluxe album release.

Freeform Five step up with a heavy rework of a previously unreleased Soul Mekanik track 'Don't'. The original track was created around the time of 'Never Touch That Switch' in 2005 but never made the cut for the 81 album. This is a super dirty 'live' workout with heavy funk that tickles the senses before knocking you on your ass straight into a roaring bath of analogue fuss.

On the flip Soul Mekanik reintroduce the mystery remixer whose Cosmic tentacles have already delivered a stunning reworking of Sound 5's ‘The Hacienda Must Be Re:)Built’. The Mighty 'Me' delivers his/her Rubber Dub rework of ‘High On Hope Street’, taking a slightly more menacing cosmic journey with an afro percussive underbelly and streamline  retro synth melodies. A vocal version will be made available on the Deluxe edition.

The Deluxe edition of Soul Mekanik's '81' album will see the release of the entire original album on CD1 (a major record when first released in 2005) with 10 previously unavailable remixes on CD2. Remixes include Maurice Fulton's awesome rework of 'Go Upstairs' and disco king Greg Wilson's re-edit of 'Wanna Get Wet'.

After wowing London’s Lovebox festval, Soul Mekanik’s Kelvin Andrews and Balearic Mike are 'live' on Pacha Radio from Pacha Roof Terrace, Ibiza  on 23rd July. Followed by 3 more hours of Cosmic adventures in support of WONK'S  debut compilation release, ‘Down To The Sea & Back’.

Deluxe 81 is released on 5th September 2010. Keep your eye on www.soulmekanik.com for exclusive free downloads & news.
