More Music gets on a deep house tip with Mowgli, who dishes out the soulful grooves on his new EP ‘I Gotta Feeling’ with a side helping of driving techno on the flip, in a remix of ‘La Lokomotiva’ courtesy of German wunderkind &ME.

‘I Gotta Feeling’ is straight-up house music made with classic soul in mind. Bouncing beats give a flow of energy and enoughmomentum to move a room but the smooth spaced out keys and classic RnB sample brings it down to a dreamy pace and deeper vibe. The sexy groove slowly builds with a rise of sparkling synths and all collides in the mid-way drop of rolling beats and honey-textured vocals.

On the B-side, &ME takes Mowgli’s chugging tech house release ‘La Lokomotiva’and switches up the tempo to resemble a high-speed train on a twisted rampage. Thumping bass and whistling eerie FX transport the listener on a fast ride into the realms of late-night loopy techno with a driving, dark minimal licks destined to destroy the moody dance floor.

Hailing from a remote part of Northern Italy, Mowgli aka Michele Savasta took his musical ambitions to the cultural hub of London in 2006 and has since grafted his way to becoming one of the most sought-after producers in the industry with demand for his uniquely blended DJ sets continuing around the globe. Known for his mix-up of styles in the electronic genre, Mowgli has lately planted himself on the Dalston basement party scene and driven roots in   the deep house and techno sound with his bi-monthly night Go Deeper.

&ME came to Berlin from Hamburg and it wasn’t long before his talents were picked up by heavyweights DJ Hell and DJ T, who hired him as their co-producer. He has remixed the likes of Roxy Music, Tiefschwarz and Anthony Rother and has been making a name for himself as a solo star on labels such as Keinemusik, Front Room, Souvenir, Rebirth, Liebe*Detail and Saved.

The next Go Deeper event is happening at The Nest 22nd July 2011 with Mowgli and guests including Spencer Parker and Sonogama.
